Perhaps there's a slight difference in one scene with the body and the shell casings with a slight white fringe on medium and some very slight shading difference on his jacket, but then again the camera moved slightly - the medium has more defined grout between the tiles too, so who knows - all other details where the texture res is actually high (like the floor, newspapers) are the same. I thought there might be an issue with very low-res textures in the distance when going from very high to medium in one scene with a sign with very blocky textures across the street, but when I reloaded the level keeping it on medium, it resolved to what it always looks like, probably just a streaming glitch from constantly switching back and forth.

Regardless, I've taken a ton more than these and I just can't tell any difference. From High->Very High and vice versa, it's instantaneous, indicating it's not really loading any more data in, at least at that moment. When you switch to and from medium, there's a few second delay while the change kicks in. Since this image comparison site only allows you to switch between 2 I just chose Medium vs Very High. Kept all other settings at medium, 1440p - just changed the texture setting. Speaking of textures, took a bunch at Medium/High/Very High, posted on screenshotcomparison below.
